Our Privacy Policy

NBHD is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring the security of any personal information you provide to us.
This NBHD website (Website) together with our related mobile applications and social media accounts that link to this policy (collectively the NBHD Sites) are each owned and operated by NBHD.
Any personal information you chose to provide to us, whether via any of the NBHD Sites or otherwise, will be collected, held, used and disclosed in accordance with this policy and all applicable privacy law.
Application
This privacy policy applies to NBHD and covers our data processing activities as an "agency" (as defined in New Zealand's Privacy Act). When this policy refers to our "processing" your personal information, it covers all activities relating to our use of that personal information, from its collection through to its storage and disposal.
We encourage you to read this policy carefully. By using any NBHD Site, you agree to the terms of this policy and consent to our processing of any personal information you choose to provide to us in accordance with this policy and all applicable privacy law.
Information you provide to us
The NBHD Sites are structured so that, in general, you can visit any NBHD Site without identifying or revealing any personal information.
Accordingly, you do not have to provide personal information to access any NBHD Site, but if you do not supply certain information then you may not be able to access some of the facilities and functionality of the relevant NBHD Site.
We collect and store personal information that you submit when using the NBHD Sites, including by filling in any of the online forms available on the NBHD Sites or subscribing to any of our mailing lists. The personal information you provide to us may include information such as your name, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers and/or payment account information as well as any additional information you provide to us either directly or via our NBHD Sites.
Where you provide us personal information about a third party, you must have the consent of that third party before providing us with that information. Accordingly, by providing us with information regarding a third party you warrant that you have that third party's permission to provide that information to us.
Information collected automatically
To make the NBHD Sites more useful to you, our servers (which may be hosted by a third party service provider) may collect information from you, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address (a number that is automatically assigned to your device when you use the internet, which may vary from session to session), domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit.
Furthermore, in order for you to access certain functionality of any NBHD Sites, a cookie or cookies may need to be installed on your device. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by websites that you visit. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
Most internet browsers give you the option to reject all cookies, accept all cookies, erase cookies stored on your device or be notified before a cookie is stored on your device. However, if you reject or erase the cookies referred to above some features or services of our NBHD Sites will not function properly or may not be fully available. Use of your personal information`
If you choose to provide us with personal information, we will only use or disclose that information for the following purposes (each a Permitted Purpose):
to provide you with updates regarding our NBHD events, run meet-ups and broader NBHD community services;
to provide offers and information from our NBHD third party partners to you;
to improve and enhance our services and the design and style of the NBHD Sites;
to monitor and/or keep records of our e-mail communications and other correspondence with you. If you send us correspondence that contains personal information, we may use that personal information to address the nature and purposes of the correspondence;
to provide you with customer service, and to address any complaints you may have;
to analyse the use of any of the NBHD Sites to ensure that content from the NBHD Sites is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device;
if you opt-in to any of our mailing lists, we may use such personal information to contact you by email and/or post with the information you have opted-in to receive;
in order to prevent illegal activity that threatens our computer systems or networks; and
in order to comply with any applicable laws and/or regulations.
How long will we keep your personal information for?
We will not keep your personal information for any longer than is reasonably necessary for us to fulfil the Permitted Purposes outlined in this policy. We'll delete your personal information once it is no longer reasonably necessary to achieve these purposes.
Disclosure of your personal information
We won't disclose your personal information to any third party except as described in this policy unless we have your consent to do so or such disclosure is required by law or otherwise permitted by applicable privacy laws.
Where we do disclose your personal information to third parties, we do so for a Permitted Purpose only and will use reasonable efforts to make those parties aware of the terms of this policy.
Third party service providers
We may share your personal information with certain third party partners who offer products and/or services to us. The types of third parties we may share elements of your personal information with include:
payment processors engaged by us to securely store or handle payments information, such as credit or debit card details, required for facilitating purchases of third party products and/or services (as facilitated by NBHD);
providers of email management and distribution tools – for example, if you subscribe to join our mail list we will manage the delivery of these to you using a third party email distribution tool;
brand partners and affiliates – in order to facilitate members discounts or promotions offered by such brand partners or affiliates; or
web-hosting companies – the NBHD Sites are hosted and maintained on servers operated by third party services providers.
These service providers may be granted access to some or all of the personal information you provide or we collect, but will be restricted from using the personal information you provide other than as is reasonably necessary to perform their services for us. The third parties to whom we disclose personal information may be located within or outside New Zealand. Where we disclose personal information outside of New Zealand, we do so in accordance with all applicable disclosure restrictions under applicable privacy law.
We may also use service providers to assist us in aggregating and anonymising such information, so that it does not include any information from which any individual can be identified. We do not consider such aggregated and anonymised information to be personal information, and its use is not subject to this policy.
If NBHD is acquired or merged with another company, your personal information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products and services to you.
Your legal rights and choices in connection with your personal information
Under certain circumstances, by law you have certain rights in connection with your personal Information, including rights to request access to, or correction of, any personal information we may hold about you.

Policy changes
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. For example, we may update this policy to reflect customer feedback, changes to our NBHD services or to take into account in changes in law.
When we update this policy, we'll revise the "Effective Date" at the top of the policy. If any changes are material, we'll notify you either by notifying you directly or by posting a notice of the relevant policy changes on the relevant NBHD Site before they take effect.
It's important you regularly review this policy when you visit any of the NBHD Sites. Your use of any NBHD Site following any changes to our policy constitutes acceptance of this policy as amended.

Other terms
The NBHD Sites or emails which we send to you may contain links to other sites operated by third parties and those third parties may use cookies on their own websites. It is the responsibility of those third parties to collect appropriate consents from you in order to permit their own cookies (to the extent this is required by law) and to inform you about the cookies they use. You should check the privacy policy on all third party websites to ensure you are comfortable with third party cookies.
We are not responsible for the accuracy and content of external websites and specifically disclaim responsibility for their content, privacy practices, and terms of use, and we make no endorsements, representations, or warranties about their accuracy, content or thoroughness. You should check the privacy policies on third party website to ensure you are comfortable with how your personal information will be used. Your disclosure of personal information to third party websites is at your own risk. It will be governed by the terms and conditions and subject to the privacy policy applicable to the relevant third party site.
We will use reasonable endeavours to correct any errors or omissions as soon as practicable after being notified of them. However, we do not guarantee that any NBHD Site will be free of faults, and we do not accept liability for any such faults, errors or omissions. Intellectual property
NBHD or its licensors exclusively own all rights, title, and interest in the patents, copyrights (including rights in derivative works), moral rights, rights of publicity, trademarks or service marks, logos and designs, trade secrets, and other intellectual property embodied by, or contained in the NBHD Sites and all services and deliverables we provide to you, and the skills, know-how and methodologies used or acquired by us during the course of providing any NBHD services (NBHD IP). NBHD reserves all rights in the NBHD IP not expressly granted to you in accordance with this policy.
NBHD grants you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to electronically access and use the NBHD IP only to the extent necessary to enable you to make use of the NBHD Sites and our NBHD services.
By submitting any text or images (including photographs) (Material) to us via any NBHD Site, you represent that you are the owner of the Material, or have proper authorisation from the owner of the Material to use, reproduce and distribute it. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the Material in connection with the NBHD services.
